My name is Wayne Warrington and I am your consumer advocate. I am a 30 year veteran of the investigative industry, an author and a consumer advocate to well over 1.4 million people today. I am on a quest during 2018 and 2019 to recover over $1 Billion in unclaimed property “LostMoney” for consumers throughout North America, while through this effort I hope to fund over $100 million to worthwhile charitable and humanitarian causes.
The most common question I get from people who visit the website LostMoney.com is “WHY? Why would you work for free for people you have never met in your life?” Many people volunteer their time for good causes, as I did for the first 20 years of my adult life… however not many people donate 90 percent of their time, energy and resources to people around the world who they have never met. In May 2006 I made a commitment to the American consumer. From that date forward I stopped working the 9-to-5 grind and and donated 90 percent of everything I owned to assist people in need by recovering any unclaimed property due to their families. I realized it was possible to give this assistance at no cost to those people who would benefit.
It wasn’t always easy for me to achieve such a dream. I have been in the unclaimed property, or LOST MONEY recovery business since 1981. And for many years my company charged a percentage of the money we recovered for clients. Not a big percentage, the greater the amount, the lower the fee and by the year 1996 when LostMoney.com was founded, the fee was simply a flat 10 percent which many times did not even cover our costs.
So why did I convert this successful business model into a free service, nonprofit organization? Three reasons. First was a constant battle with the government and major corporations that simply did not want “at least it appeared this way” to give up the unclaimed property. They challenged the claims, added more red tape and even changed the laws to keep money from being readily accessible to the American public. The second reason involved the people I was assisting. I had hundreds of clients who were either living paycheck-to-paycheck, on welfare or social security and I witnessed how the money I recovered for them changed their lives for the good. And the third reason was…God. In January 2006 God reminded me that I was here for a reason, a greater purpose, that being to assist others in the name of this great force for good, truth and beauty: GOD.
As a senior financial and fraud investigator for over 30 years, my background includes decades of experience working with and for government agencies, Fortune 100 Companies, leading financial institutions, insurance companies, politicians, celebrities and individuals just like you–all unique.
I would trade any of this history for more time to spend doing investigative work, especially for people on welfare or other government assistance programs where the money I recovered for them allowed them to live a life with a bit more comfort and self respect.
To me, it seems a crime for the holder of unclaimed property to delay the recovery of the property by its owner. So I offer assistance in the recovery of unclaimed property to consumers across the country without charge. All I ask is this…. If you have the ability to do so, please pay it forward in life. Find some way to put more truth, goodness and beauty into this world of ours.
Along with a selective few cases I take on each year that require my level of experience, I am now working with many worthwhile charities and I am organizing a group of professional business owners as advocates that will be providing assistance to our consumer members with the support the free consumer services available through LostMoney. The more our consumers interact with these charities and advocates the more they can pay it forward as well by helping us.
My sites are designed to be of assistance to you. I do not allow advertising on these sites and I have never sold the email list or contact information of my site visitors. I hope my work, my sites and my writings are of benefit to you. I am setting up ways to spread the news of this great work we’re doing together, through tools such as Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter and Google +, so your assistance by sharing our website with your social media friends and connections will greatly improve our ability to reach that billion dollar recovery mark thus help thousands of those less fortunate.
Internet resources offer convenience. Personal interaction offers a way to share our energy in ways beyond the screen. If you get lost “behind the glass,” let me know so I can reach you in real time, by voice or visit.
In 2016 I was honored to be nominated as Man of the Year for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in Arizona. In 2017 and 2018, I have continued working with #LLS through their Team in Training group #TNT, by reaching outside my comfort zone and physical abilities by entering and finishing a 72-Mile Cycling event around Lake Tahoe.
The 700 plus TNT participants raised $3.25 million for LLS nationwide for from this event. Fund raising for these worthwhile organizations such as LLS and other worthwhile charities assisting children fighting debilitating diseases and illnesses, has been such an amazing blessing in my life. If you would like to join my efforts with these incredible organizations, or with another worthwhile humanitarian or charitable cause that you would like my assistance with on the fund raising side, please contact me through the Contact Page on my site here. My goal again is to enter the #TNTLLS America’s Most Beautiful Bike Ride for 2019 and if it is on your heart to help this effort to put an end to Blood Cancer once and for all, please donate to LLS.
Wishing you every success in life, great health, happiness and the peace from God.
Your friend and your advocate in life, Wayne
