Unclaimed Property Reports

LostMoney.com - Free Consumer Reports

LostMoney Report #1

The first thing I wish to help you understand, as someone new to the Unclaimed Property search process, is this: virtually everything you have been told by those holding your unclaimed property about how to find it was WRONG!
How could these people in positions of trust be so wrong about how you can go about finding the money owed to you? Simple…. there is an absolute conflict of interest associated with the person “entity” that has your unclaimed money and you. Simply put… they have your unclaimed money, they ARE NOT paying you interest on it while they have it, and therefore they receive a benefit every day by you not claiming it.After being in this business of assisting well over one million consumers in North America since 1996, and helping them recover over $200 Million in unclaimed property for their families just in the past few years, I have discovered that approximately 8 out of every 10 adult Americans have a potential claim for lost money and that the average amount due to each individual so entitled is over $8,000.00.

YOUR FIRST DATABASE SEARCH RESOURCE:  As part of your first LostMoney Report, I am providing you with access to one of the largest commercial databases. Even though this database represents one of the LARGEST unclaimed property databases available on the Internet today, it only covers approximately 11% of the unclaimed property available for YOU TO CLAIM. So, if your name does not appear on this list it certainly has a good chance of being on the next list, or the one after that. There are tens of thousands of sources for unclaimed property or unclaimed money. And there are hundreds of account database files that ARE NOT connected and therefore a search of each is necessary in order to discover where the money is hidden for you and your family.

PAY IT FORWARD!  Thank you for being a part of our LostMoney Consumer Family.  Our free reports and consumer assistance programs are paid for by our sponsors and donations to our non-profit.  You can help pay it forward thus allowing us to sever more consumers.  How?  Simply CLICK HERE to receive some very special 50% off offers from merchants in your area. There is NO COST to you to help us help others.  And, once you have completed the short form allowing us to send you a few discounted offers, I will receive a email telling me you are helping us pay it forward. You will receive my personal contact information where we can work together to locate all the unclaimed property for you and your family.  Remember… “Together we can make a difference!”

So once you have conducted this first search, we will go to step two… in REPORT #2… and you will learn the secrets of Unclaimed Property and LostMoney and how to protect your family from losing more money to the government and others that are holders of Unclaimed Property around the world.

In the meantime, our research organization at LostMoney.com is currently working on the family profile you submitted at LOSTMONEY and you will be receiving updated search and account information dealing with the possible claims available to you through the months and years ahead. Remember… there is over $1 Trillion Dollars in Unclaimed Property in the United States alone. And out of the $1 Trillion there is only an estimated $35 Billion reported and turned over to the various state unclaimed property offices that are apart of the NAUPA organization.

So to recap what we discussed here in the LostMoney Report #1…. this is what you should be aware of and remember.

There is no single database to search for Unclaimed Property in the USA
There is over $1 Trillion Dollars in Unclaimed Property in the USA alone.

The largest database available for you to search online only contains an estimated 11% of the accounts that you or your family may have a claim available.

Those that have your lost money…those Holders, are NOT paying you interest on your money and therefore they have a conflict of interest and they benefit from you NOT claiming your money.

8 out of every 10 Adult Americans have a claim available to them.
The average amount of unclaimed property due to each of those eligible is over $8,000.00

Within our second LostMoney Report I will show you how to properly search for what is commonly known as unclaimed property, unclaimed money, and lost money. If for some reason you have yet complete your LostMoney profile in order to receive all the free consumer reports I have prepared, please visit LOSTMONEY and do so today. Remember to send your family and friends as well so they too can collect all the lost money due to them. Its FREE. All I ask is for you to somehow pay it forward in life to others that can use your help someday.

JANUARY 2012 UPDATE: Thank you all for the great feedback AND the constructive comments to help us improve our site. Obviously being a free consumer site has its own challenges and I appreciate your patience as well as the incredible donations made to humanitarian and charitable causes through the process.

I wanted to also thank those writing in on my articles and on this page for Unclaimed Property. I wish I could answer everyone posting here. However time wise it is impossible so here is my promise. We will do our best to update your profile with your comments to ensure we expedite your research reports. As for comments that include more personal information, such as family names and even more delicate information, I believe those should remain private and will not be posted in the public reading area. All posts are read and responded to as soon as possible. Considering we handle over 1000 requests a day, spam posts or those that are not constructive in content will simply be marked as spam and then deleted.

  3. Joyce says:

Trying to locate any lost money.

    • Good Morning Joyce. Thank you for completing your family profile at LostMoney.com. Our research staff is working on you profile today…starting the process of matching unclaimed property holders with you and your family. Make sure you try the search window on this page by entering your name and those of your relatives.

      Best wishes to you, Wayne

  4. bronta brittt says:

    trying to locate money

    • Bronta, we just received and replied to the initial profile you submitted. Thank you for your interest in our free consumer service. As I reviewed your file it appears by the information you submitted that we would recommend you make sure you include ALL your relatives names when you are searching. Use their first name only as well as variations i.e. for Robert, use Bob and Rob as well. Then as we develop the address information associated with the accounts located, you can match them up. Have a great week. Wayne

  5. Scott A Rackliff says:

I am also trying to locate lost money for me and my brothers. Chris G Rackliff and Ernest F Rackliff. Thankyou for helping.

    • Scott, you are welcome. I will check on your profile today. By the way, remember we are the ONLY site that does not asked for a credit card or Social Security Number information, etc. So, if by chance you end up visiting a site that does, please feel free to contact us to follow up on any accounts their site reflects, with NO COST to you. Best Regards, Wayne

  6. DONNA BUTLER says:

I NEED HELP GET THE MONEY AND THE FORMS FROM THE INTERNET CAN SOME ONE HELP

    • Donna, I noticed your profile just came in 30 minutes ago so it is still in pending stage for review and updating. However, this may have been a typo.. the profile reflects the spelling of you first name as Dona, not with two n’s. I mention this here because it serves as an excellent example of what we reflect within our second LostMoney Report. I have found over the past 30 years that the margin for human error in Unclaimed Property reporting is as HIGH as 20% of the records. Especially those records older than 1990. The early reporting process for UCP was handled through three or even four stages of reporting and transcriptions. So there was a 20% chance that by the time an account was recorded at a State UCP office under the name of Donna, it could very well be reported to the public as Dona. SO, search all possible variables.

As for the forms Donna, as soon as we have accounts connected to you, we can get you linked to the forms. Thanks and have an awesome day. Wayne

  7. michael w garcia says:

i am not sure i registered right!!!

  8. Michelle E Walker says:

I found my name, so how can claim any funds due to me.

    • Michelle, That is great. The first step is identifying who the HOLDER is and then the addresses associated with the accounts. Since SSN and DOB information is NOT used in 99% of the searches, you will start by comparing old mailing addresses. Send your researcher the account names you found and he/she will get you the matching information. Send the information to Report1@LostMoney.name

      Congrats again, Wayne

  9. victoria quick stribling says:

Hope to locate and lost moneys.

  10. jonathan bohlmann says:

records indicate $8500 and $650 in lohst money; tried to get claim forms but email failed; jb

    • JB, I will have your researcher check on the accounts during the next 48 hours to verify and secure the holder and claim form information. If there are other questions on these account they, or I, will contact you via your email so we keep the claim process confidential.. Thanks for posting. Wayne

  11. My husband died in june of 2008 should I look for missing money under his name?

    • Bonnie, the timing of your husband’s passing means several things. First, many of the active accounts with holders are now being converted to abandoned property status. So, you will be searching this year and for the next 3 or 4 hereafter based upon the type of property being reported. In the meantime, your current search should be under his name, yours and any children you may have. It always helps to conduct searches under every name possible, however these will be the key ones to start. Best Wishes, Wayne

  12. Debra Y. Hammock says:

I am seeking how to obtain a claim form.

    • Debra, Each holder/trustee has a different claim form and process associated with the recovery process. Some are very simple and some more complex….especially if you are not the original owner or beneficiary. So if you are the Heir, then it take more documents. Anyway, we need to check on who the holder is first, so I will put a note in your file for the researcher to follow up and email you directly with the information needed. Best, Wayne

  13. Mauldine Allen says:

My uncle died late 80s also my dad died in middle of 1995. I have been updateing.

  14. Dennis J. Oberster says:

Just looking to see if there is any money for me.

  15. sheila scanlon piacentini says:

Very curious, suspect that there is always monies that are not claimed.

    • Sheila, virtually every radio show we did over the past year the audience would have the same reaction. As well as how can LostMoney’s services truly be FREE. It was frustrating to me at times since we work so hard every day helping hundreds of members…and at no cost. But then I am reminded of when I started in this business in 1979 and hired a group from ASU to research how best to approach the public on the whole Unclaimed Property deal to begin with. I thought it would be like handing out $100 bills on street corners. Interestingly enough… many people will NOT TAKE the $100! They are willing to pass on it to wait and see what the catch is. :-( Anyway, the money is simply there… has been for over 50 years and continues to be. Until we educate the public that the money exists and spread the word that most of the “online sources” are filled with fees or misinformation that leads consumers away from their rightful claim, well the money will remain unclaimed. Thanks for writing. Wayne

  16. Aquilla Davis says:

I am looking forward to working with your organization within the next few weeks to find lost funds if I have some. Thanks.

  17. ann mills says:

Hello, my email requests were sent back as undeliverable. I had searched and then sent the request for forms to make the claims.

    • Ann, Thanks for the note. Yes we just found two of our email accounts for member support were overloaded this past week from spammers and so our ability to get your emails to update you account failed. We are increasing the email storage AND cleaning out the spam mail, so your previous mail to us SHOULD still come through since our servers are designed to come back through. I will also check you account. Best, Wayne

  18. I the street necessary? I haven’t seen a place where is asks for it. Thank You

    • Rita, Great question. Thank you. The street address is important, however not for purposes of conducting your initial searches. As you discover unclaimed money accounts under the names of family members you will first want to look at the City or States. Then research the accounts as to the Holder (Trustee) information and determine if a relationship existed with the family member. The address then comes important by way of verification of your ownership of the account. Here is the trick. Addresses are one of the TOP areas that are incorrectly reported to State UCP offices. Many times people will see an account under their name and see an address they never lived at and then conclude…”It’s not mine.” However, after doing the research you find the address reported was actually the address of the HOLDER, not you. Thanks again for asking. Best Regards, Wayne

  19. jackqueline thompson says:

  21. Jina Gallegos says:

Hi, my name shows up in the search I did with my state’s unclaimed property and NAUPA but it didn’t turn up in the search I did here on LostMoney.com, do you know why that is? thank you.

    • Jina, our search files cover over 190 sources on JUST the first round. From there we have hundreds more. This is one of the most important reason NOT to just search through the state sites. And to use our search techniques to make sure the accounts are found. We will get you connect to all. Thanks, Wayne

  22. S Hicken says:

I may have slowed your process, I started with my married name, and found no claim on the first report, I then searched my maiden name and my name came up, so I resubmitted. Both names are me. Sorry If I made it more difficult.

    • Ms. Hicken, No problem. Our system blocks additional requests now to reduce the spamming on our servers. We do a manual MERGE of the records every few days so you second or even third requests will not be lost, they will get combined with the original profile you created. We are really excited about the enhancements to the services offered through LostMoney.com and within just a few days… you will see much more. Best wishes, Wayne

  23. This site is a real Godsend to me as well as others, in these hard times.

    • Mary Jean, I very much appreciate your comment. We have been working very hard these past few weeks on improving our site for everyone and to be able to continue to raise funds for worthwhile charities, humanitarian causes and our local community churches. Spread the word the best you can so others can find their lost money as well. With my best wishes to you, Wayne

  24. Linda Hayes says:

Hi Wayne, I hope your day is going well. Over 30 years ago my aunt passed away. I am not 100% positive of the spelling of her last name and she was pre-deceased by her husband Nels. She lived in Corpus Christi, TX for at least the last 20 years of her life and I was living in New York state and moved to New Jersey. I don’t know if any of that info will help you – just thought I would throw it in for you. Blessings to you for your free services! In todays times more people are becoming aware and offering free services of one kind or another – I am one of those people. Linda

  25. How long does it take before we find out any imformation on what our findings are & who they are from and amts. Barbara has been my assigned person searching. Thank You!

  26. Phyllis Stonehocker says:

I found a bunch of listings for my deceased mother. I tried to send an email to the listed address and it keeps coming back with daemon errors.

    • Phyllis, thanks so much for the note. We are transferring some of our work load to another server today since our email accounts are overloaded. My apologies for the delay and you will have access to the forms shortly. Best regards, Wayne

  27. Pam says:

Hi I think this is a great site ! I have found the last name Wykowski in the database but I am not sure how to check if a relative ? Henry Wykowski , Paul Wykowski ?

    • Pam, thanks so much for writing. The database access we provide, even though one of the largest, is simply only 5% of the Unclaimed Property in the world. So… we have a lot to search through. The key to the searching is the ADDRESS. City and State first. Since over 20% of the records we have found historically are in error due to typos or missing information. Read through your second report when you get it for more tips on searching and connecting the accounts. Best, Wayne

  28. i
I tried requesting forms, but was unsuccessful. My email addresss and password was not excepted. Is there something else I need to do to get my money? (over 6800.00) I also paid $11.00 with a prepaid VISA to another site, but was unable to get a response. I need help.

Thank You Mr. Warrington, and God Bless you.

    • Ceciele, We are working on your profile today so look for the email tomorrow AM or shortly thereafter. As for you paying for a search from another site, you may wish to ask for a refund or credit from your bank “if they did not deliver what they promised for the $$$” In the meantime, we are free and we will do our best to help you in the search and recovery process. Best wishes to you, Wayne

  29. Lisa Costabile says:

I am excited to see how to do this. My father passed in March of 2001 and I have never met my mother. I am not even sure about the only name I have for her. Sometimes it is like pulling a needle out of a pile of hay. But I refuse to give up, looking for answers and not just about money.
    Thank you for your help,
    Lisa

  30. I whould like my search to continue from my pass relatives….

  31. julie says:

someone called both my sister and me to say they found money owed to us from my dad. They want 33% of the money. How can I check on this myself and how long does this take.

    • Julie, Typcially we find there is a 10% fee limitation in virtually all government UCP funds. So the 33% tells me the funds are most likely held by a non-government agency, at least at the current time. This is not 100% proof yet since we need to do several searches. However, the good news is 99% of the funds DO NOT disappear on you, so do not feel pressure to take the 33% offer yet. If you can fax the documents from the company that is asking for the 33%, we can track it back from there, or maybe get the fee reduced to 10%. Our fax is 866.430.4668. Best Regards, Wayne

  32. Ladona Schultz says:

I have found my deceased Mothers name several times on your web sight. Please send me the necessary forms to claim this money. I think Your web site in Awesome, going to tell my friends.

  34. Stephen Anderson says:

I heard about this site through a trusted radio station. With that, I now have confidence to search for missing monies for myself, as well, as my family. As have most hard working american’s, we’ve had the misfortune of deaths and courts cases. Therefore, I am sure we’ve lost out on something.

Your assistance would greatly be appreciated.

    -Stephen

  35. Cindy Tyler says:

Hey again I just looked up my mother’s name Annie Mae Jones looked like there are several for her as well. This is a great site to locate information that you would even know that there is money you can recevice and you dont no anything about it. Just be working hard and dont even know that you have unclaimed money that is owed to you. So we are hoping that you will help us out with this information.

    Thanks
    Cindy Tyler

    Have A Blessed Day

  36. I havent seen anything that shows how you make your money for all your time and effort?

    • Rick, Thanks for your note and I get that question often on our radio shows and when introducing LostMoney.com and our free consumer reports. The answer is simply this. Five years ago my family established a non-profit foundation to help support charities and humanitarian causes. My work as a consumer advocate, providing free services to those in need, serves as a catalyst for donations to those worthwhile organizations, the foundation approves, when consumers find benefit from my efforts. My request to consumers is to simply pay it forward when they find benefit from LostMoney.com through small donations to charities and humanitarian efforts. This is of course a volunteer donation, however we have seen reports of $5 to $6 million dollars each year raised for great charities and humanitarian efforts through this pay it forward process. I do not receive any income from the charities or donations, I simply am supported by the foundation in a very modest way. I have many people shake their heads wondering why I do this for so little and all I can tell you is… I feel truly blessed in life with the gifts and family and friends I have and I made a decision in 2005 to pay it forward each day thereafter. Thanks again for your question and allowing me to share this history with you. God Bless and I hope we are able to help you over the years to come. Wayne

  40. Patricia Kee says:

I have a bank book with very little money in it from 1962. The bank is know longer there. Citizens National Bank in Concord, NC

    • Patricia, at this point the bank account should have been turned over to the State of NC Unclaimed Property office. Use our links to get in touch with them. If you do not see the account there, then check with the State banking department as to what bank did take over Citizens National Bank. Hope this helps. Write back if you have problems locating them. Best, Wayne

    • Anna, Thank you for writing. Oil and mineral interests sometimes are buried in the records from the Oil company. Also, not sure if you have explored this yet, however your parents native American status can provide you with significant benefits as well. We are working on a report covering that this month and I will try to get you a copy as well. In the meant time if you have registered with our company for the consumer reports, I will look up the files. Best Regards, Wayne

  51. Stacy says:

Not one person on any one of these lost money/property sites have even mentioned that they have even received any money even though they are on the list. Whats wrong with this picture. Site after site and not one person said thank you for helping me find and collect their lost money.

    • Stacy, Most of the websites out there charge fees to collect the funds, or access the database. One reason you see a low volume of people saying … HEY I got my money… is the dollar amounts disclosed via State sites is normally low “hundreds or less” and so many people simply ignore the amounts. We dig deeper for folks and help them recover the larger amounts as well. Thanks for your consideration and support of LostMoney.com Best Regards, Wayne

  52. Quick search now says:

  54. victoria secret swimwear says:

Hi there, I found your site by way of Google at the same time as searching for a related subject, your web site came up, it appears great. I have bookmarked it in my google bookmarks.

  55. teits says:

Great site. Plenty of useful information here. I’m sending it to some pals and also sharing in delicious. And certainly, thanks for your effort in helping us all!

  56. Patrick Lee Mehlfelder says:

Well, I’m not really sure if the results I found for Arthur A. Mehlfelder is my grandpa’s or my dad’s. If there is any way that you help me out that would be great because I have a wife and two kids under the age of 5 and we are living the rough life with not many places left to go for help. If this unclaimed undisclosed amount of money can help my family and I, please email me. Thank you for your time.

    • Patrick, it is really going to first be determined by the address. Make a list of all the old addresses for family members and if you do not have the whole address.. the Street and of course at the very least the city. This will help refine the list.

  57. margaret anderson says:

Put my name in the data base and some accounts popped up what do I do next?thanks

  58. Gail L Thomas says:

I know that i have lost money out there i just need a little help finding it. Can you please help me track down what is rightfully mine I have a old IRA account and old bank account from a child please i need your help. I have lost so much in 2011 i was even homeless for a two month period. I know that my inhertence is out there.

    • Gail, we have several accounts under your name. The last name is common though and so the next step is matching former addresses with the accounts. Watch your email over the next couple of days for the reports with the account addresses we have found. ALSO… very important, check under each family member name as well. Remember, faith above all else. Things will work out. God’s blessings be with you. Wayne

  59. Gail L Thomas says:

please put my name in the data base i do have old accounts

  60. Miss Thomas, Thank you for writing and reporting your credit card issue with a company using the phone numbers 18773872206-18774971730-8184360428.

Being a consumer advocate it is my mission to protect consumers from rip off companies, or bait and switch schemes that are online. So you can rest assured we will add your comments to our files and check on the business you are concerned with. However, in the meantime I would suggest you contact your bank to dispute the charge to your credit card if the company has failed to deliver what they promised to you. If for some reason your dispute with that company is resolved to your satisfaction, please let us know as well so we can update our records and discontinue any investigation we have undertaken.

    Best Regards, Wayne
