Our Requests and Prayers were Answered!
Danny was released from the Haitian prison on Tuesday and is now headed back to the states to be with his wife for the birth of their new baby boy. I am so thankful for all of the incredible support so many showed this man of faith and his family. Please consider them still in your prayers as they get back on track with their loving mission to help so many children in Haiti. Both the Associated Press and Christian Post released news of this incredible story.

URGENT REQUEST FOR ASSISTANCE – Feb 25th 2011
As of yesterday I received word from friends of the Pyes in Haiti that Danny Pye was wrongfully arrested and imprisoned in Jacmel Haiti back in October 2010. He has remained in the Haitian prison facility with little help or hope of release from our government.

I was blessed to be able to spend time with Danny and Leann Pye at their home with their 22 children in 2008 and this man’s only crime in Haiti is his pure heart for God, his devotion to his family and his compassion for the children and people of Haiti. He is an American citizen, a Christian missionary and a man that does not deserve to spend one more day imprisoned. His wife is back in the States this week awaiting the birth of their second son.

Considering the number of lives saved along with the tremendous amount of aid Americans provided to Haiti in that country’s time of need, I would suggest it is time the Haitian government step forward to help save the life of one American that has been there for them.

Please join me in spreading the word and voicing our concern over this miscarriage of justice by contacting those in a position to help secure Danny’s immediate release. Humanitarian efforts need to start at home. However for those of you that have traveled to third world countries, I can relate to the impact that must have made in your lives. In 2008, during my trip to Haiti I was given the opportunity to work with an awesome couple whose ministry touched the lives of so many children. Their home was a place of peace and protection for dozens of children each with an incredible story as to how they became a part of this beautiful family.
